Star Aggie volleyball player Logan Lednicky ’26 chose Texas A&M when it was her dream school, and she chose to stay rather than transfer during difficult times when she was seriously injured and the school changed coaching staffs. By choosing to remain loyal to the program and her teammates and committing to working together with them, she accomplished something she could only dream of as a girl: winning a national championship for the school that her father, mother, grandfather and great-grandfather attended. Her story is one of loyalty, legacy and what we can accomplish by working together.

She — two-time All-American at Texas A&M University, Team USA member, now a professional volleyball player — was not very good at their age. Definitely not good enough to play for the Aggies and carry on the Lednicky family legacy. Certainly not good enough to do more than daydream of helping the school compete for a national championship. But here is the thing about dreams, she says: “They absolutely can come true. I’m proof of that.” To which she adds: “But you can’t do it alone.”

She was a shy kid who found purpose and belonging in sports. Through volleyball, she learned to open herself to friends and teammates who, together, built the bonds to stand against daunting odds in a season she still cannot quite believe is real.

“What we did,” she says, “is so special it’s hard to even describe.”
